A popular north east hotel has announced that is has gone into administration.
Staff at Balmedie’s White Horse Inn announced the “sad and disappointing” news via a Facebook post on Friday, January 4.
In the post, staff at the hotel and restaurant said: “It is business as usual and we encourage our customers near and far to continue to support the White Horse Inn.”
The post added that Alexander Iain Fraser and Thomas Campbell MacLennan of FRP Advisory LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators of Palomino (Aberdeen) Limited on Thursday, December 27, 2018.
The White Horse Inn on Old Road has been serving both local residents and visitors of Balmedie for over 40 years since it was established in 1975.
The restaurant was refurbished in late 2014 to provide diners with a refreshing beach inspired decor.
The lounge is dog friendly and includes a log fire to guarantee a cozy visit.
Last summer the White Horse Inn welcomed back a chef who began his catering career at the establishment.
Andy Jeffrey was appointed as the hotel and eatery’s new head chef.
Andy had worked from Edzell to Pitlochry in hotels and restaurants in Head and Souis chef roles before heading back to the White Horse Inn.
