An Ellon woman celebrated a very special birthday on Thursday, February 8.
Lexi Alexander marked her 100th birthday at Ythanvale Care Home.
Members of her family attended the home on Thursday afternoon for a special celebration event.
A ceilidh band played a number of songs for Lexi and her fellow residents, and everyone joined together to sing Happy Birthday to her.
Lexi’s former neighbours Bob and Marjorie Duncan attended the celebration too.
As well as the celebration at Ythanvale, Lexi and her family gathered at the Station Hotel to mark the special occasion.
Lexi said that the biggest change she has witnessed over her life has been the local transport.
She said: “In Aberdeen you used to jump on the trams but now it’s buses and you don’t know which one to get on.”
