A big-hearted Inverurie youngster is on a mission to raise £2000 to sponsor an operating table to help children across the world less fortunate than himself.
Sam Grant (9), was born with a cleft lip and palate and so far he has had ten operations to repair this birth defect. And Sam is due to face the most intensive operation yet later this year, when surgeons will take a piece of bone from his hip and use it to fill a gap in his gum.
This will be followed by a lot of dental work to straighten and even add teeth to make it easier for him to eat, speak and to look better.
Sam’s family say that he has been incredibly brave through all his operations to date, but he had been refused to get the latest one saying that he felt fine the way he was.
