An inaugural conference will be held this month for town centre business representatives to come together and discuss the successes and challenges they face in Aberdeenshire.
The first Aberdeenshire Town Conference, organised by Aberdeenshire Council and Business Improvement Districts Scotland (BIDS), will take place between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday, March 18 at the Palace Hotel, Peterhead.

The free event will allow representatives from Aberdeenshire town centre businesses to come together and hear from a range of keynote speakers expert in their fields.
Speakers will include representatives from BIDs as well as a number of organisations who have been working with Aberdeenshire Council to promote regeneration in the north-east.
Managing Director of The Retailer, Gordon Bell, will speak on how business communities can be strengthened and regenerate from the bottom up.
CEO at Miconex, Colin Munro, will discuss the importance of town centre businesses having a digital presence in this age of online shopping and the internet.
Chairman of Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, Councillor Peter Argyle, said: “This conference is a fantastic opportunity for Aberdeenshire entrepreneurs to meet and hear about how they can improve their business models in a number of different ways.
“Although there have certainly been improvements in our town centres in recent years, in an age of ever-changing technology, it is always helpful to have access to experts who can give advice and guidance on how businesses can make the most of the resources they have.”
Director of Business Improvement Districts Scotland, Ian Davison Porter, said: “The business improvement district model can be used whenever a group of businesses want to work collectively and invest together in improving their business environment or grow their market sector.
Representatives from specialist organisations will hold surgeries including the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC).
