Embracing innovation can transform your business

Businesses will find out how to seek alternative and resourceful methods to fund innovative ideas at an AGCC lunch this month.

The Government introduced research and development (R&D) tax credits in 2000 to encourage companies to develop products and services and speakers Brian Williamson and Miguel Rey will explain how a business can make the most of funding.

The Government scheme is used to fund new and innovative ways of making the UK more competitive internationally.

Around 8,700 SMEs and 1,900 large companies are already claiming more than £1.1 billion each year in R&D tax relief.

Brian Williamson is managing director of Jumpstart, the UK’s leading experts in technology reports supporting R&D tax claims, and will explain the relevance of R&D tax credits and how companies can apply.

The event called Smart Innovation being held at the AGCC offices, The Hub, Exploration Drive, Aberdeen Energy Park, Bridge of Don, AB23 8GX, is running on Thursday February 20, from 11.45am to 2pm.
