Meldrum May Market will be held in Oldmeldrum Square on Saturday (May 11) from 11am–4pm.

Prizewinners will be announced for the adults and children’s competitions taking place during the week.

Shops in the town all have questions in their windows for the whole of this week.

The adult quiz has questions about local history while the junior competition involves identifying animals displayed somewhere in the shop windows.

Entry forms are available from local shops and should be returned to Berry’s before 3pm on Market Day when the winning entries will be drawn.

Prizes for the adult competition are hampers made up of goods donated by local businesses, while the children’s prizes are bags of coins, worth £30, £20 and £10.

Meldrum Business Group is organising the events.

The Market Day itself will see a number of local food producers selling a variety of food and drinks in the square and craft workers will be selling some of their products in the town hall.

There will also be other attractions, including a barbeque, to make it a good family day out.
