Business owners, mother and daughter team Tracy and Liz Gibb, held a special celebration event at the eatery on Saturday for friends, family and customers to mark the occasion.

The sandwich takeaway first opened on May 19, 2008 after Tracy and Liz searched for a business opportunity to call their own.

Tracy explained: “After I left school I went to college and studied Hospitality.

“My mum and dad owned a hotel and mum later worked as a cook at Arnage Primary School.

“Before I turned 30 I decided I wanted to do something so I looked around for a hotel or restaurant but then we saw this unit come up for sale and thought why not start up a sandwich bar.”

Delicious now serves hot food and offers catering.

Commenting on the anniversary Tracy said: “It’s amazing, the time has passed so quickly.

“I’d like to thank our customers, family and friends for their support over the years and we are proud to be celebrating 10 years of business.”

Liz added: “Our initial plan was to have the business for at least five years but I’m amazed that we have reached ten.

“We started with just the two of us but we now have eight members of staff and we would like to give a special mention to Lesley Daniel who has been with us for ten years.

“We are lucky to have loyal customers, many of whom we have made friends with over the years.

“We also want to thank the community for their continued support, keep Ellon thriving by shopping local.”
