O2, the mobile phone network, has recently introduced its 4G service to Cruden Bay.
The successful implementation of the new and improved 4G network will allow its customers to experience a new level of high speed mobile internet.
Derek McManus, chief operating officer, Telefónica UK said: “O2 customers in Cruden Bay can now experience faster mobile internet on their devices such as streaming high definition TV, shopping on the go, and video calling.
“For our business customers, 4G is all about working more effectively. For instance, they can work remotely, access cloud services and collaborate using apps. O2 4G can make everything easier for our customers.”
In addition to the launch of 4G, O2 is upgrading its 2G and 3G network in the area as part of its Network Modernisation Programme.
Works are due to start on Friday, January 22, and will be completed by Monday, January 25.
Customers may experience intermittent service during the work– O2 recommends using their TUGo app which will allow its customers to make and receive calls on any wifi-connected device.

O2 is spending £600 million in 2015 on its network and by the end of 2017 will have invested more than £3billion in 4G and the modernisation of its 2G and 3G networks across the UK. O2 currently offers 4G in over 600 towns and cities across the UK.
