SERVICE-users and carers at Ellon’s Resource Centre and Can-Do facilities celebrated their 20th and 10th anniversaries respectively with a special barbecue celebration at the Castle Park facility.
Burgers, salad and freshly prepared pancakes were on offer to visitors, along with soft drinks.
Helen Smilie was on hand preparing fresh pancakes. She said that the day was an opportunity to celebrate the contribution the facilities had made to the town.
“They’ve provided employment and opportunities to people with disabilities in Ellon for decades, and helped to integrate them into the life of the town,” she said. “Both are hugely valuable facilities, and this celebration is a recognition of that.”
