Charity hair chop for Dakota

A Cruden Bay youngster has had nine inches of hair chopped off in aid of two charities.

Dakota Redmonds (10) decided to donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust after talking to her family about cancer and how treatment can lead to children losing their hair.

She wanted her hair to be donated and made into a wig so that children undergoing treatment didn’t look or feel different.

Her hair was cut at the Newburgh Inn on Friday, November 18 by Kim, the manager of Ythan Waves.

Dakota is delighted to have raised £166.01 for Children in Need and is happy that her contribution will help children in less fortunate circumstances than herself.
