Collieston and Slains SWRI held a festive meeting on the evening of December 9 in the run-up to Christmas.
The usual business was dispensed with quickly, including planning for a Soup and Pudding provision following the Carol Service at Slains Kirk on December 22.
Money raised will to go to help swell the Collieston Pier Fund.
Then chairwoman May Irvine handed over the floor to Carol Proudlock who taught members how to create Christmas table decorations.
She used lovely flowers and artificial fruit and candles which she supplied, and lots of green foliage from Jane Sutherland’s garden near the Meikle Loch.
Some really stunning results were achieved, every one different.
Then delicious festive nibbles and mulled wine were provided by Chris Stewart and Nora Harper, and Secret Santa then gave those present all lovely presents before May wished everyone a very merry Christmas and safe home.
