Ellon Community Council members expressed their disappointment over the progress of work on a children’s play area.
The area causing concern is at the town’s Knockothie Green.
The council’s monthly meeting on Monday heard that residents were unhappy with the lack of progress on the site, which was scheduled to be finished by spring/early summer this year
Community council chairman, Sandy McDougall, said: “We were promised a good quality play park, but it’s wildly overgrown with an access road through the middle of it. It still looks like a construction site right now.
“The Ellon residents have been delivered promises and let down before and the worry is that this is another promise which will not be delivered.”
The community council will be writing to developers Barratt and Scotia to express their concerns over the situation.
