Police appeal after Ellon house raid

A police appeal for information has been made after a house in Ellon was raided.

Jewellery and cash worth nearly £1000 was stolen from the property in the Woodlands Drive area of the town.

The theft is thought to have happened between 6.55am and 2.55pm on Wednesday, March 19.

Constable Linda Watt, of the Formartine Community Policing Team, said: “This type of crime can have a significant effect on people, often beyond the monetary loss.

“This incident happened during the day in a residential area and so I am hopeful that someone will have seen something suspicious.”
