Grampian Police have appealed for witnesses following a road collision in Aberdeenshire that resulted in the deaths of two people.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the A90 Peterhead to Fraserburgh road at Philorth about 4.10pm on Sunday afternoon (14.08.11), where a Honda Civic motor car and a Fiat Ducato van had collided. The occupants of the Honda Civic, believed to be a 22 year old male driver and a 25 year old female passenger both died at the scene. The 24 year old male driver of the Fiat Ducato was conveyed by road Ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he was treated for various non life threatening injuries. No other persons were involved.
Sergeant David Pirie said: He said, “We’re particularly keen to trace the occupants of a dark green or possibly silver saloon car, possibly an MG that stopped at the scene. We’d also like to speak with anyone who saw a fairly distinctive dark blue Honda Civic being driven on the A90 between Peterhead and Fraserburgh during the late afternoon of Sunday.”
