Police in anchor theft investigation

Grampian Police is making inquiries into an unusual theft, after some fifteen steel anchors were stolen from Cruden Bay.

Ten anchors were taken from Cruden Bay Harbour at around noon on Saturday 3 September 2011. Just a few days later, a further five anchors were taken some time between 5pm on Thursday 6 October 2011 and 9am on Friday 7 October 2011.

The anchors are estimated to be worth a mid four-figure sum.

Police Constable Katrina Bruce is keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area around the time of the two incidents.
