Officers in Aberdeenshire are investigating an incident whereby two trees and a gate post were vandalised within the grounds of Haddo House.
The incident occurred between 12pm and 2.30pm on Sunday, July 1 on a footpath close to the visitor centre, heading towards the play areas and resulted in a gate post and two trees being removed from the ground, and dumped nearby.
Investigating Officer Constable Scott Walmsley said: "This act of vandalism has occurred during a busy weekend period, during broad daylight and whereby a number of people may have been visiting the area and regular visitors may have seen something unusual.
“We would like to appeal to the public to contact us if they saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area around these times and if anybody in the area was carrying any tools that may have assisted in them carrying out this crime.
