A WOMAN in her twenties was lucky to escape unharmed after her car overturned on the A90 earlier today.
The incident took place around a mile and a half north of the Toll of Birness, and saw delays for other motorists as traffic was diverted away from the crash site.
Paramedics and the Fire Service were called to the scene at around 10.20 am. Two fire appliances from Ellon and a further appliance from Peterhead responded to the call. The fire service stabilised the vehicle, before using cutting equipment to assist the sole casualty, a 28 year old female, from the vehicle.
The driver did not require hospital treatment, and was able to walk from the scene. It’s believed that the driver had clipped the kerb at the side of the road before losing control of the car. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
