A woman has sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car on the Tarves to Pitmedden Road.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Thursday on the B999 at East Newseat of Tolquhon.

A 73 years-old pedestrian was struck by a Ford Fiesta car travelling towards Pitmedden. The female pedestrian sustained serious injuries.

Sgt Henderson, Road Policing Unit, is appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, to contact 101 quoting

incident number 2611, with any further information.

"In particular, we are trying to trace the driver of a motor car travelling towards Traves at the time of the collision," he said.
