A fundraising Cupcake Day was held at the Ellon Men’s Shed on Hospital Road at the weekend.
The event was held to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland.
Local artist Elinor Grieve of Eli’s Art was at the shed and had various pieces of her work on sale.
She donated 25 per cent of the profit from each painting sold on the day to the charity.
Elinor also held a silent auction and all money raised from that went straight to Alzheimer Scotland.
Speaking to the Times Elinor said: “We have had a constant stream of people, it’s been great.
“We would like to thank the Ythan Bakery and JRD for donating cupcakes and Sweet Toots Cakery for their voucher.”
As the Times went to print the Cupcake Day event raised a total of £1,168.
