Dogs invited to ‘go walkies’ at Aden Park this weekend

A SPONSORED walk will take place at Aden Country Park this weekend in organise to raise funds for the Peterhead branch of Guide Dogs.

The ‘Go walkies for Guide Dogs’ walk will take place this Saturday, September 24 from 9.30am, with the one-hour-walk commencing at 10am.

The money raised will stay in the Buchan area as well as helping support the nearest training school in Forfar.

Organiser Susanne McCafferty who is dependant on her guide dog Garner said: “The life-changing independence that the dogs can give to thousands of blind and partially-sighted people is amazing.

“There are loads of ways people can get involved, whether they sign up with their own dog, borrow a dog, share a dog or even dress up as a dog! Children are more than welcome to come along, as long as they are accompanied by an adult,” she added.
