Three Public Access Defibrillators (PAD) are now in place in the Belhelvie area.
The first is located in Belhelvie village on the external wall at Cadgers Garage, the second is at the entrance to the Potterton Community Centre and at the third can be found at Balmedie Leisure Centre.
The parish wish to thank the British Heart Foundation, Graham Cadger and family, Aberdeenshire Council, Community and Leisure Centre staff and all who have supported this fundraising initiative.
Whilst they now have three defibrillators situated in the Parish which comprises Balmedie, Belhelvie, Blackdog, Potterton and Whitecairns, they are now looking to raise funds for more units and its First Responders scheme, more details of this can be found on the Belhelvie Community First Responders Facebook page.
Some short training sessions have already taken place but further awareness sessions for the use of the defibrillators including CPR will be available in the New Year.
Anyone interested in either the Awareness Sessions, in becoming a First Responder, or to help with fundraising is asked to please contact Marc Wood by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07789 965236.
