An Ellon student has graduated from North East Scotland College with an HND Creative Industries: TV.

Rebecca Stalker, 20, decided to study the subject after being involved with drama productions at school and thought she would like to try working behind the camera.

After starting the course, which is run from the College’s Aberdeen City campus, Rebecca knew straight away that she had made the right decision.

She said: “The course was brilliant and I found all the different units really interesting.

“The facilities at college are excellent and we were able to work with the very latest technology.”

During her course, Rebecca was given the opportunity to work with children at a local primary school, teaching them how to use television cameras, a project from which she got a lot of satisfaction.

She also returned to her former school, Ellon Academy, to work with pupils from S1 and 2.

Rebecca has since found a job as an admin specialist with Halliburton but hasn’t ruled out a future in TV production when the right opportunity comes her way.
