Ellon Academy Drama Club are presenting the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, “Annie Get Your Gun” next month.
The Club will put on four performances on the week beginning Monday, June 12.
These will in the Theatre at Ellon Academy starting at 7.30pm each evening.
This show follows the club’s recent annual productions of “The Sound of Music”, “Annie” and “The Music Man”.
Teacher David Birse said: “This is our second show in our lovely new theatre and we are very fortunate to have such a wonderful, well-equipped venue here in Ellon.
“The Cast consists of over 60 pupils and another team of staff and pupils run the Back Stage.
“We have been working on the production for a couple of months and wish to stage another superb evening’s entertainment for our audiences.”
Mr Birse added: “Many of our principals have been in our previous shows and our lead couple, Euan Pirie (S6) and Rachel Birse (S5) are experienced young actors.
“As Frank Butler and Annie Oakley, they vie for star billing as Buffalo Bill’s star attractions at his Wild West Show.”
“Annie Get Your Gun” has a large Cast and features pupils from S1 to S6.
The music, composed by Irving Berlin of “White Christmas” fame, is very appealing with well-known tunes such as “There’s no Business like Show Business”, “Anything you can do I can do better” and “Falling in Love is Wonderful”.
The four performances will be held on Monday, June 12 through to Thursday, June 15, starting at 7.30pm in the Theatre at the Ellon Academy Community Campus.
Tickets for the performances cost £9 for adults and £6 concession, and can be purchased from the Reception at Ellon Academy or at J&K Shoes, Ellon.
