A group of pupils from Newburgh Mathers School are through to the final of the Rotary Primary School quiz.
Six P7 youngsters negotiated the latest stage of the competition and will take their place at the district final at Perth Racecourse on June 15.
Newburgh and Buchanhaven School were the two teams to progress from the local area.
Newburgh were represented by twins Scott and Calum Cumming, Johnnie Mackay, Eleanor Harper, with Lauren Moroney and John Leith substitutes.
It was the perfect birthday present for Scott and Calum, who were 12 on the day of the heat.
Mum Catherine said: “They were delighted. It was perfect timing.
“The team are all very friendly and fingers are crossed for the final.”
P7 teacher Alison McNeill said the pupils had worked hard for their achievement.
She added: “ At lunchtime they can be found working together, testing one another, so they have put a lot of work into it.”
Head teacher Gaye Stevenson said the whole school was proud of the team.
She added: “The pupils have done so well and it is a great achievement for the school.”
