Members of Ellon Photographic Group are reflecting on a hugely successful 2016.
The group achieved wins in inter-club competitions as well as a high level of individual success in both club and external competitions.
In addition the group has achieved its highest membership level (currently over 50) since it was established in 2010, with high attendance at both its weekly meetings and monthly Saturday workshops.
Within the north east, local camera clubs compete on a regular basis and in 2016 EPG won both events so far - winning against Craigewan photo group and the frist three-way match against Peterhead and Fraserburgh clubs.
A series of internal competitions across the year are held within the group which are a mix of theme-based and open entries.
Some of the group’s members have also achieved further success in external competitions, with Sandy Cowie, Andy Leonard and Evelyn Morrison all doing well in the Haddo House Competition.
The group caters for all levels of photography skills from beginners to RPS members with technical evenings suited to all levels including workshops, competitions and outings.
The season runs from September to April and all are welcome to visit or join the group.
Group meetings are held on Mondays from 7-9pm in Ellon Community Centre.
