NatWest is recognising brokers in the mortgage industry that have gone beyond everyday expectations to put the customer and their local community at the heart of their firm.

Ellon’s Phil Anderson Financial Services is in the running for ‘Best Firm Scotland’.

Commenting on the shortlist Phil Anderson, managing director at Phil Anderson Financial Services said: “It is great to see a mortgage lender champion local mortgage brokers and NatWest deserve praise for organising these awards.

“They have a celebrity speaker organised and I am sure it will be a super evening.

“Two of my mortgage advisers are going down for the awards and it is great to see local mortgage advisers being recognised for their hard work and efforts.”

NatWest head of intermediary mortgages Graham Felstead said: “We are delighted to be hosting our NatWest Local Hero Mortgage Awards initiative specifically aimed at recognising the hard work and commitment of mortgage adviser firms that have gone above and beyond expectations.

“These firms have exemplified putting the customer and their local community at the heart of everything they do, in addition to providing sound financial advice for those consumers within their locality.

“We have been overwhelmed with the positive response from adviser firms. The volume and quality of the submissions we received for judging were hugely impressive and I would like to thank each and every firm who submitted an entry.”

In total 60 firms have been shortlisted for recognition in the 12 regional awards, with a further two awards for Best National Estate Agency and Best National Broker Firm to be revealed on the night.

The gala awards dinner will be held in Birmingham’s iconic grade one listed Town Hall, located in the city centre on Wednesday, March 13.
