Bennachie visitors are urged to be careful and follow instructions as work begins clearing wind blown trees around the area.

Recreation and Communities Ranger for the Forestry Commission Scotland team, Emily Holmes said: “December’s winds caused damage in the forests and a number of the trails have been affected by wind blown trees.

“As a result, harvesting machines will be in operation clearing the fallen timber.

“We expect to have everything completed by mid-March but it’s important that visitors stay safe and observe any instructions.”

Work starts on Monday. January 27 at Bennachie Centre car park which will be closed for most of the time, but the car park will be open on February 1 and 2. On February 10 parts of the Heather Brig and the Gordon Way will be closed for clearance and repairs. Work starts on The Donview afterwards.
