Money raised at an Ellon event has been donated to the Scottish Liver Transplant Unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
Mother and daughter Audrey and Lindsay Cameron organised a Scottish Variety Night at the Station Hotel in Ellon on Saturday, November 25, raising a total of £2,500.
The money was split between five causes that provided all aspects of Audrey’s recent liver transplant and after care.
Audrey and Lindsay visited the hospital on Thursday, February 1, to present £1,000 to Dr Williams and the Liver team.
The donation was gratefully received and the Liver team at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary will use the money to purchase equipment for future transplant patients.
Money from the event was also donated to the ARI Liver unit, Patient air and transport services, and Hatton Cruden Medical group.
