Even the wind couldn’t blow the Feein’ Market off course and the 2015 event last Saturday turned out to be an amazing afternoon!
Stonehaven and District Lions Club once again did a fantastic job organising the event and welcomed all – near and far – to Stoney.
The club has been at the helm for 15 years and spearheaded the transformation of the Feein’ Market.
David Lawman, the club’s market convener, said: “We are totally committed to the Feein’ Market’s development so that everyone can benefit – participating clubs, businesses and organisations and visitors alike.
“The bigger and better the event, the bigger the draw. And that means more income for all the charities, businesses and organisations with stalls, both in the town square and Town Hall, not to mention more money in the tills for local shops, restaurants and pubs.”
Mearns Leader deputy editor Rachel Campbell and reporter Lee McCann had the honour of opening the day’s proceedings at 10am.
And while the wind threatened to call a halt to the market for the first time in its history, the stall holders, dancers, volunteers and Lions Club members soldiered on to put on one grand Feein’ Market.
Freelance photographer Andy Thompson was on hand to capture all of the action and his pictures are featured in our slideshow, created for your viewing pleasure by community hub deputy editor Julie Currie.
So grab a cuppa or a tipple, curl up and enjoy the show!
