Police in Inverurie will be on hand this weekend to give winter safety advice and conduct free vehicle checks to motorists.
Officers from Inverurie Community Policing Team will be at the car park of Morrisons supermarket in Inverurie between 9am and 12pm on Saturday, November, 12 to provide advice and help drivers ensure their vehicle is ready for winter.
PC Lauren Tate said: "We hope motorists will take the opportunity to come along for free checks to ensure their vehicles are ready for the winter months.
"Vehicle defects such as unsafe tyres, poor lights or windscreen wipers are important to rectify and will make sure you are that bit safer driving when the weather deteriorates. Numerous road traffic collisions are caused by vehicle defects; these collisions could be avoidable if vehicles were properly prepared for winter weather.
"We're pleased to be offering the opportunity for the public to get free vehicle checks and we'll also be available to answer questions and provide advice."
