The 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade held their popular annual Christmas Coffee Morning at the weekend.
The event was held at the Kirk Centre on Saturday, December 9.
The Anchor Boys and Junior Section boys sang a number of Christmas carols throughout the morning to the delight of those that attended the event.
Speaking to the Times, 1st Ellon Boys Brigade captain, Dennis Chalmers, said: “It was very successful, our coffee morning raised close to £500 and it was busy the whole morning.
“Our Christmas card collection was also very successful and it raised around £2,500.”
The 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade will hold Christmas card collections this weekend too for those that missed out.
The boys will be at the Kirk Centre on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December from 10am until 12 noon.
Simply head along with cards to be sent in Ellon only and the boys will deliver them for a small donation.
After all of the cards have been received, the boys will sort them out accordingly and the cards will be posted during the afternoon on Sunday, December 17.
All money raised through the coffee morning event and the Christmas card collections will go to the 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade.
The annual card collection always proves to be popular with many Ellon residents taking their cards along for the Boys Brigade members to post.
