Cruden Bay Brownies, Guides and Rainbows and Hatton Rainbows and Brownies recently celebrated 100 years by holding a special Thinking Day event.
The groups got together at Hatton Public Hall on Saturday, February 22 to mark The Big Brownie Birthday and took part in a number of fun activities.
Their day started with a fundraising coffee morning which managed to raise £300.
The groups also received a £100 donation from Peterhead Rotary Club and both Cruden Bay and Hatton Community Associations.
The money raised will go towards a Scouting Activity Day for the girls.
District commissioner, Ashley McGregor said: “The day was a huge success and we are well on our way to pay for the coach to transport our Brownies and Guides.”
The girls will continue their fundraising efforts by holding bag packs at Tesco Ellon and Morrisons Peterhead in the next few months.
Commenting on the Thinking Day event, Ashley said: “It was a great day and it was very successful with a high turnout of members from both Hatton and Cruden Bay.
“After the coffee morning, the girls took part in various activity sessions in the afternoon including Shoogle and Shimmy which was very popular!
“They also made their own purses to take home, decorated biscuits and took part in a sing-a-long.
She added: “We would like to thank the Ythan Bakery for helping us out by giving us some items to sell at our coffee morning and the mum of one of our members for baking our special birthday cake.”
