Organisers of the annual Lourin Fair are gearing up for the historic event that this year takes place on Saturday, August 15.
The Lourin Fair in Old Rayne is a traditional country fair dating back more than 500 years.
The Fair will be officially opened at 1pm by Mr Mark Stephens, of the BBC’s “Out of Doors” programme.
As always, the accent is on fun with a variety of attractions to suit all ages, including: Zumba, Bootcamp, Bushcraft and Horsemanship demonstrations; children’s activities including Zorbs, Face painting, Bouncy Castle, and football and Arts and Craft’s Fair and Stalls, Falconry and classic vehicle displays.
There will also be the hugely popular Clydesdale Horse Competition, an Industrial Show and the famous Lourin Fair Duck Race to round off the afternoon.
Teas and refreshments will be served in the St. Lawrence Hall and there will be a variety of food and drink options, including a fully licenced bar, available on the the Showfield itself
The Fair is organised by the Old Rayne Community Association (ORCA).
