Inverurie Scouts need you!

There are twenty-six million Scouts worldwide and a remarkable 164 of them enjoy all that Scouting can offer over five evenings a week in Inverurie.

Inverurie Scout Group has 49 Beaver Scouts in two colonies, 56 Cub Scouts in two packs and 40 Scouts in one troop.

The only downside of having so many children taking full advantage of all things Scouts is the sheer amount of Leaders, Assistant Leaders and Sectional Assistants that the group constantly need to ensure the continuity of each of the sections and to deliver an exciting and balanced programme of activities for all young members.

At present the group have 19 volunteers in various roles but urgently need more, and this can be from any walk of life, whether a parent, a former scout, or keen to help out in your local community.

All Leaders undertake the robust training programme of the Scouting Association and work diligently towards completing all of their training and being awarded their Wood Beads. Leaders can also take advantage of additional training courses offered, from various sources, around the country. Archery and gorge-walking are just two of the many courses available which allows Leaders to pursue their own interests and widen the scope for young members to participate in these types of activities.
