Teenager Jessica McFarlane will host a special coffee morning in Ellon this Sunday.
The Ellon Academy S3 pupil is hoping to boost the coffers of CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).
Jessica, 14, wanted to do something to help the charity and decided to hold a coffee morning with tombola.
The event will be held from 10am until 2pm in Symposium in Neil Ross Square.
However, the teenager will have the assistance of her mother Mandy, who works in the coffee shop, and other staff.
Jessica explained that she wanted to do some volunteering with CHAS but was too young, so she opted for the next best thing - a fundraiser.
She said: “I wanted to do something to help less fortunate children and CHAS seemed the obvious choice for me.”
Mandy added: “I’m really pround of her. It’s nice to see her doing this for charity.”
Jessie and her mum are looking for any donations to the tombola.
Anyone who can help can drop off any contributions to Symposium.
CHAS is the only charity in Scotland providing vital hospice services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
