A Pitmedden youngster has had 12 inches of her hair cut off for charity.

Lily Clark, 5, got her hair cut on Monday, April 30.

The youngster has always had long hair but bravely decided to cut it and donate it to the charity, Little Princess Trust.

The charity uses donated hair to create wigs for children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

As well as donating her hair, Lily has also managed to raise over £300 for the charity.

Lily was very excited to get her hair cut and had been counting down the sleeps until the big day.

Lily’s family and friends are all very proud of her for deciding to donate her hair to charity.
