A LACE Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Sale will be held in Ythanbank next week.

A total of 12 artists and crafters have come together to take part in the event that will be held at Ythanbank Community Hall.

Local residents in Ythanbank requested that the group use their Community Hall to help promote community activity in the village.

The exhibition and sale of works will be held in the hall from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 September from 11am to 4pm each day.

The acronym LACE ( Local Art and Craft Exhibitors ), has been adopted by the Group.

Exhibits and items for sale will include a range of original paintings and prints, of both local and Scottish scenes, portraits and popular topics by several local artists.

There will also be woodcraft with wooden bowls, pens, clocks and small items of furniture.

Hand painted, decorative boxes, jewellery, textiles with an emphasis on tartan fabrics, crochet and knitted tea cosies will be on show and for sale at other stalls, one of which is by Ellon Ladies who Craft, a Macmillan Cancer Support Group, who will have children’s hats and a lucky dip to keep youngsters occupied.

Papercraft and greeting cards will also be available to browse through and purchase.

Entry to the LACE Art and Craft Exhibition and Sale is free and everyone is welcome to come along and browse the items on sale.

Ythanbank is on the B9005 road out of Ellon to Methlick and 10 minutes by car or bus (Stagecoach 292) from the centre of Ellon.

The Community Hall is straight on after the T-junction to Methlick, just down a short distance on the right- hand side.

Support to stage the Exhibition and Sale has been provided by Phil Anderson Financial Services who have generously sponsored the banners to advertise the event.

This sponsorship is gratefully recognised.
