The Victoria Hall Trust has been given more than £5,000 from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
The £5,478 funding award to the Trust will be used to cover running costs for the volunteer-led Ellon Cinema.
Commenting, Gillian Martin MSP said: “I am thrilled my constituency has been one of the benefactors of this funding.
“The four-figure sum will help to fund the Ellon Cinema which is run by the brilliant volunteers who offer their free time to help out.
“I would encourage all community group to see whether they could be eligible for future funding for their community.”
Colin Clark MP for Gordon added: “Community groups are a life line, the people that run them work tirelessly to help their communities in all sorts of ways, but funding raising is a big one, so to receive this amount of money is fantastic and a credit to the Team at the Victoria Hall Trust.
Around 100 community groups across Scotland have been boosted by a cash injection totalling £789,456.
A National Lottery Awards for All spokesperson said: “This is National Lottery money making a real impact in communities across Scotland. All of these awards really showcase the variety of projects that can be funded and highlight the difference a relatively small amount of money can make.
"We wish all of these groups all the best for the festive season and the future.”
