Ellon Parish Church Drama Group, famous for the annual Ellon Pantomime, is holding an Open Evening to recruit enthusiastic and fun adults to join this year’s production of Aladdin.
For those not so keen on treading the boards, help is also required backstage in the form of lighting, props, wardrobe and make-up.
The Open Evening will take place on Wednesday, April 25, at 7.30 pm in Ellon Kirk Centre, Station Road, where there will be an introductory talk, refreshments and the opportunity to chat to current members.
For more information call Denise on 07882 384615.
Now in its 24th year, the Ellon Pantomime delivers five performances to local children and adults alike.
Rehearsals start on Wednesday evenings from May with a break during the school summer holidays.
Backstage members are not required at rehearsals until October but can join in the social events and rehearsals throughout the year.
Ann Reid, Chairperson, said: “There are no auditions; the only requirements are commitment, enthusiasm and an interest in trying something new. We are a very friendly and social group and all over-18s are welcome to join.
"The pantomime group is delighted to have Denise Goodwin return this year as Director after last year’s highly successful and funny Jack and the Beanstalk, written by Clare McLean, Aladdin’s scriptwriter.”
Ellon Parish Church Drama Group is open to anyone residing in or outwith the parish, whether or not a member of any church.
This year’s panto production is expected to run from Saturday 1 to Tuesday 4 December.
