Ola Oils, Inverurie’s cold pressed rapeseed oil producers have won yet another accolade.
The family-run company won the Cooking Oil category in the Farm Produce Awards 2015, beating competition from across Scotland and the rest of the UK.
James Ogg of Ola Oils said: “We entered the awards thinking that competition would be tough with competition from across the country but we’re delighted the judges selected our oil as the winner.
“We’re one of very few companies who grow and press all our own seed: we don’t buy in any seed to make our oil and we think this is a key factor in the flavour of our oil: we have complete control of our oil from when the seeds are planted in the ground to when the caps are put on the bottles!”
Ola Oils are Scotland’s original producers of cold pressed, extra-virgin rapeseed oil and began producing oil in 2008. Since then the company has expanded its product range to include infused oils, a selection of sauces, Aioli, Ola Chilli Jam and a range of salad dressings, including Ola Caesar Dressing which was launched at Taste of Grampian in June this year.
