Panto group appeal for musical director

Ellon's Christmas pantomime is looking for a musical director.
Ellon's Christmas pantomime is looking for a musical director.

Ellon Parish Church Drama Group is on the look-out for a new musical director/pianist for its 2015 pantomime.

The vacancy for the popular festive production has arisen after the previous musical director had to move on due to other commitments.

The voluntary position involves working with the cast to perfect songs for the annual Ellon pantomime which will take place this year from December 5-8.

The group meets every Wednesday at 7.30pm at the Kirk Centre from late May.

A small band comprising a guitarist and a drummer also takes part in the show.

Having successfully delivered annual pantomimes spanning more than 20 within the Ellon Kirk, the drama group of over 30 volunteers and helpers, consists of males and females possessing wide and varied stage and singing experience.

The musical director has a key role within the team and some form of previous choral experience would be ideal, but is not necessarily essential.

A keen pianist/key board musician would also be considered.

If you are interested in joining this long-established, happy and successful community drama group, you can apply in the first instance to the director Denise Goodwin on 07882 384615 or
