The Ellon Anchor Boys held an Open Night last month.

The Open Night was held on Wednesday, May 18 at Ellon Parish Church.

The event was a chance for the boys, 24 in total on the roll, to show friends and family some of the things they do at Anchor Boys, including playing games, making crafts, learning about Jesus and how to be a good friend.

The boys showed off their marching skills, performed some short skits of some of the things they’ve been learning about and also played a game of Port and Starboard with their parents roped in.

The boys were presented with badges for their hard work (Primary 2 boys earn one badge, Primary 3 earn two).

Fraser Gault, Primary 3, was awarded the “Best Anchor Boy” trophy and Calum Thomson, Primary 2, was awarded the “Anchor Boy Endeaver” trophy.

For anyone interested in enroling their son in Anchor Boys next session please contact Rachel Seifert by emailing

Primary 2 and 3 boys are welcome and the group will start in early September.
