Appeal following serious road crash - A90 south of Ellon

Police are appealing for information following a two car crash on the A90 near Ellon yesterday (Thursday).

Police are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.

The crash happened around 10.20pm at the junction with the B9000 near Tipperty and involved a black BMW 318 and a red Ford Fiesta which were travelling southbound.

A 23-year-old woman, a passenger in the Fiesta, and the 29-year old male driver of the BMW, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The 24-year-old driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The 28-year-old BMW passenger was not injured.

Road policing Sergeant Craig McNeill said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened or the cars involved prior to the crash or earlier in the evening to get in touch. We’re asking anyone with dash-cam footage who may have been travelling in the area to also get in touch.”
