Ellon and District Pubwatch has recently completed a major restructuring process in a bid to keep the community safe.
The group is made up of of licence holders who aim to improve the ambience of the environment in bar premises and enhance the safety, security, comfort and well-being of customers and staff so that any visit is a pleasurable occasion which they will wish to repeat.
Current Pubwatch members are the Aberdeen Arms Hotel Tarves, the Bridge Bar Ellon, the Buchan Hotel Ellon, Ellon Bowling Club, the Linsmohr Hotel Pitmedden, McDonald Golf Club, the New Inn Ellon, Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club, Ellon branch of the Royal British Legion (Scotland), the Station Hotel Ellon and the Tolbooth Ellon.
Any new members from the local area will be made very welcome.
The Pubwatch works closely with Aberdeenshire Council’s Civic Licencing Standards Officer and Police Scotland as well as keeping in touch with the local Community Council.
Ellon and District Pubwatch’s restructuring process became necessary in order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and to encompass changes in the new Aberdeenshire Licensing Policy.
It has also become a member of National Pubwatch giving it access to information and a range of useful posters and window stickers.
The new stickers and posters will be visable in all of the Pubwatch premises to reassure customers that their safety is paramount at all times.
