Inverurie children brighten opticians’ window
Two children have won a colouring competition tasking kids with bringing a touch of colour to Station Road.
Harry, (7) and Skye (6) were the lucky winners.
The aim of the competition was to make the community smile by bringing colour and joy to the store’s window.
Children were able to submit any drawing they liked to keep spirits up during lockdown.
Harry drew a pair of specs with the beautiful Aberdeenshire scenery in its lenses. Skye created her own Steven Brown inspired masterpiece, dubbed ‘McSpecs’ – a colourful highland cow wearing glasses.
The pair received hampers that were full to the brim of toys, sweets, books and colouring pens.
Ashleigh Wood, store director said: “We wanted to create something bright and positive and all the children who entered the competition did such a fantastic job in achieving that. It was a very difficult decision to pick only two winners and we would like to thank everyone who entered.”
