A leading Scottish designer who has enjoyed international success returned to her Scottish roots to host an exclusive event in the North-east last week.
Iona Crawford, who has exhibited in Paris, Tokyo, London, Beijing and New York, showcased her exclusive new interiors range at Inverurie retailer, Interiors by Ashley.
The styling event, which welcomed over 20 individuals was organised by Interiors by Ashley owner Ashley Wilson, to coincide with a local food and drink festival, Feast North East, bringing a new element to the festival.
Guests were given the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with the famous Scottish designer in a ‘Meet the designer styling workshop’, while enjoying some of Scotland’s finest produce from local retailer, Mitchell’s of Inverurie.
The food and drink festival, which takes place from June to August, will showcase some of the best producers, independent retailers, farmers, and eating establishments in the Inverurie and surrounding area.
Interiors by Ashley, which is based in Inverurie, is the first boutique in the North-east to showcase Iona’s recently launched interiors collection, which was inspired by nature’s vast beauty.
Since establishing her brand in 2007, Iona has travelled the world, showcasing her pieces throughout a number of iconic cities.
Ashley Wilson, owner of Interiors by Ashley said: “I am delighted to have had the opportunity to host this fantastic workshop with one of Scotland’s most prestigious designers.
“Partnering with Iona was extremely fun and was a huge benefit to individuals who are interested in interior design to meet her face-to-face.
“The event was a huge success and I am delighted to have brought a new element to the Feast North East festival. I think it’s really important to be diverse and to partner with other industries, inducing the food and drink sector.”
Scottish designer and creative consultant, Iona Crawford, added: “The prospect of meeting and introducing our brand to an array of new people in the North-east was extremely exciting.
“I love visiting the area, and being able to showcase our new interiors line in Ashley’s shop was a huge benefit to us both.”
