Long service adds up for Inverurie accountancy firm
Three long-serving staff members from Johnston Carmichael’s Inverurie office have been recognised for their dedication to the business at an annual ceremony.
Johnston Carmichael, Scotland’s largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, holds a Long Service Awards Lunch every year to celebrate staff who have been employed with the firm for over 10 years.
Collecting awards from the firm’s Inverurie office were Marion Beaumont, celebrating 35 years, Linette Cormack, celebrating 20 years, and Mhairi Beedie, marking ten years.
This year’s ceremony, held at Perth Racecourse, honoured 30 award winners with a combined service of 565 years. Winners hailed from offices all over the country, including Aberdeen, Inverness, Fraserburgh, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, each receiving a gift and certificate to reward their achievement.
Three 40 year awards were also presented to staff from the Elgin, Inverness and Perth offices, as well as 30 and 25 year awards.
Emma Waterman, Office Head of Johnston Carmichael’s Inverurie base, said, “2019 has been a year of great change for Johnston Carmichael, with leadership transitions and the opening of our new Dundee and London offices to name but a few examples. What hasn’t changed, however, is the dedication and hard work of our team.
“With over 850 staff, we know that what sets us apart as a firm is our people. It’s absolutely fantastic to see these levels of commitment from such a talented team, and we don’t take that loyalty for granted - we are always striving to ensure that each member of staff is empowered and supported to fulfil a job and a career path that they are passionate about.”
