Pupils at Slains Primary School held a Sleep-Out community event on Friday, May 17.

For the past three months the students have been learning about homelessness as part of their Citizenship topic.

They held the Sleep-Out event in the school grounds in a bid to raise awareness of the issue within the local community while also raising money for Aberdeen Cyrenians.

The Sleep-Out gave pupils some perspective of what it must be like to sleep rough.

The community event also featured a BBQ, raffle, representatives from Aberdeen Cyrenians and other activites.

The students raised a total of £1,700.
