Strong demand at Thainstone

Boosted by a gloriously sunny day, Thainstone’s latest plant, machinery and equipment sale met a strong demand from crowds of enthusiastic buyers and online bidders for almost 3,200 lots last Saturday despite the current challenging economic climate.

The fourth sale of the year, organised by Thainstone Specialist Auctions and Aberdeen & Northern Marts, divisions of the ANM Group, achieved consistently strong prices throughout the various sections.

The highest prices realised on the day were £28,200 for a 2010 JCB 3 CX; £20,200 for a Volvo A25C Dumper; and £16,300 for a 2012 Audi Q5 TDi S Line Quattro.

The regular sales have attracted remarkable interest from around the UK and further afield. The iBidder function on the ANM Group website allows users to view the full collection and bid online in real-time during the live auction.

John Roy, Vehicle and Machinery Sales Manager at ANM Group said, “The Group’s ‘Saturday Sales’ are renowned for offering a wide variety of lots to meet demand. Several successful auctions this year have contributed to our growing national and international reputation as a provider of professional auction, appraisal and valuation services.”

The Group’s next sale will be held on Saturday, June 27, and consignors are encouraged to advise of their entries as soon as possible in order for lots to receive maximum exposure to potential buyers.
