Aberdeenshire East MSP Gillian Martin is accepting applications for an internship in her constituency office.
The post is open to those aged 16-24 and mature students.
It will run for 12 weeks from September-December and will involve working on a specific project and opportunities to learn about working in a constituency office.
Ms Martin said: “When I was a college lecturer many of my students fell into the bracket of being classed as ‘mature’ and as such missed out on work experience opportunities, so if you are a young person or someone returning to education with an interest in politics I’d like to hear from you.”
The successful applicant will attend the office for 10 hours per week and be paid £9 an hour.
Applicants should send a CV, covering letter and 500-1,000 words on the subject: ‘The most pressing issue facing the Scottish Parliament is...’
Send applications to email@example.com with the subject header “Intern application.”
Deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday, August 22.
